TLILIC2002 Licence to Operate an Order Picking Forklift Truck Course Information

This course is designed for students wanting to obtain a Victorian WorkCover Authority (VWA) Nationally Recognised Trainingissued National Order Picking Forklift Licence.
This course covers all aspects of safe order picker operations and meets all aspects of the National Licencing Standards.

The study mode is face to face, full time and consists of 8 class contact hours per day for the period of 3 days.
Students are provided with learning materials to develop knowledge and understanding. This includes a mixture of theoretical information and tasks.
Practical Order Picker related exercises will be delivered in a fully equipped warehouse training facility using practice sessions and actual operating conditions.
Students are given opportunities to practice during class time. Each session allows enough time for the students to learn each topic, undertake practice opportunities for reinforcement and complete tasks.

Assessment includes a combination of knowledge assessment, calculation assessment and practical demonstration of skills. Student’s competency is assessed against the national unit of competency TLILIC2002 Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck specifications during each stage undertaken throughout the course.

Students are provided with opportunities for re-assessment if they fail to demonstrate competency during assessment tasks.

Employment Pathway

TLILIC2002 Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck is an entry level course for operational work in the warehousing industry, ideal for an order picking operator.

On successful completion of this course, students will receive a Notice of Assessment to apply for the national TLILIC2002 Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck. They will also receive a Statement of Attainment for TLILIC2002 Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck. (The Warehouse Management Training Institute RTO 40768 is the certificate issuing RTO for this courses.)

RPL can only be applied to the training portion of HRW (High Risk Work) Licences. RPL cannot be applied to the actual licencing assessments.

Students who have successfully completed whole units of competency with another Australian registered Training Organisation that are identical to any of those contained within this course can apply for Credit Transfer.

CT can only be applied to the training portion of HRW (High Risk Work) Licences. CT cannot be applied to the actual licencing assessments.

Please follow the following steps if you have successfully completed the course TLILIC2002A Licence to operate an order picking forklift truck.
1. You are required take the green copy of the NOA (notice of assessment) or a Statement of Attainment to a Victorian Post Office within 60 days from date of issue on the NOA.
2. You are required to provide 100 points of ID (as shown on the reverse of this page) upon presentation of NOA at the Victorian post office.
3. You are required to pay a fee with your application. $65 is payable at the time of submission of this application.
4. You are required to keep the pink copy of the NOA on you at all times until you receive your HRW licence from the Victorian Work Cover Authority (this will need to be on you at all times whilst conducting HRW).
5. You are required to renew your HRW licence every 5 years. Please Note: If you change your address you will need to advise the Victorian Work Cover Authority. A renewal notice is sent to the address that the Victorian Work Cover Authority have on file for you.
6. If you lose or misplace your NOA or Statement of Attainment please contact JTWS on 0260223400 and ask to speak to the Assessor that assessed you in your final assessment. The Assessor will write a new NOA. The details on the new NOA will be the same as the lost NOA.
7. If you have any questions you may also call JTWS for further advice.

If you are unsuccessful in completing the High Risk Work (HRW) licence course, the Assessor / Training Manager shall discuss with you the options that are available. A date and time shall be arranged for further training, and then a date for re-assessment shall be arranged, providing you have satisfactorily passed the re-training. If you do not satisfactorily pass the re-training the Assessor / Training Manager shall arrange for further re- training. Re-training will not commence until a minimum of 48 hours has passed from the original assessment date.
The following applies to HRW re-assessments;
1. The student must provide the pink NOA copy issued to them, before any re-assessment can commence.
2. If the re-assessment is undertaken within the 60 days from the original assessment the student will only be required to complete the section in which they were assessed as not yet competent.
3. If 60 days passes, the student is required to undertake the whole assessment.
4. If 12 months passes, the student is required to undertake the whole HRW course. (RPL may be applied. This will be assessed at the time of enrollment.)
5. Every effort will be made to ensure the same assessor undertakes the assessment. If in the event the same assessor is unavailable a substitute assessor will undertake the assessment, all of the student’s records will be supplied to the assessor.
