Introduction to Computers Course Information

This course is designed for students as an introductory training package for the use of computers and computer devices in the workplace. This includes setting up workstations, the operation of computers and RF operations.

Course duration 1 day per week part time for 4 weeks (3 Hours per class)

The study mode is face to face, part time. Students are provided with learning materials to develop knowledge and understanding. This includes a mixture of theoretical information and tasks. Computer related exercises will be delivered in a fully equipped training facility using practice sessions, written and practical assessments. Students are given opportunities to practice these during class time. Each session allows enough time for the students to learn the topic, undertake practice opportunities for reinforcement and complete tasks.

Assessment includes a combination of written tests and practical demonstration of skills. Student’s competency against the unit of competency specifications is assessed during each unit undertaken throughout the course. Students are provided with opportunities for re-assessment if they fail to demonstrate competency during assessment tasks.

Student must be 16 years and older

• VET Pathway for Certificate II in Administration, Transport and Logistics Packages

Employment Pathway
This qualification may provide entry into employment as a warehouse operator, office administration or be part of current position requirement.

Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are not applicable to this unit.

TLIK2003A Apply keyboard skills

This unit involves the skills and knowledge required to enter data into an infotechnology device using a keyboard including the application of OH&S principles to keyboard operations and the accurate entry of the data. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements are applicable to this unit.
